Kalettes (aka flower sprouts) are a hybrid of brussel sprouts and kale. Both plants are very hardy in the winter months and so is their joint offspring. A delicate veg, kalettes are best dry pan fried for a very short while and served after a sprinkling of freshly ground salt.
