Chia is a little powerhouse high in Omega 3 essential fat which our bodies need but cannot make for themselves.  This makes them great for vegan diets as some of the main sources of Omega 3 are from fish.

Chia is gluten-free and a protein which is also known for its medicinal properties.  It is also high in fibre, antioxidants, calcium, phosphorus and manganese.
 
No wonder this little seed has become a superfood in recent years.  Add it to your smoothies, use them in baking or in soups or soak overnight in a muesli or granola.
