Steenburgs Gunpowder tea is grown in Zhejiang province in China, it is rolled into dark green balls that reminded them of explosives. Darkening has not occurred because fermentation has not taken place, so the liquor is transparent and straw-coloured with a dry, mildly astringent taste.

How to brew Steenbergs organic Gunpowder green tea from China - into a warmed teapot, put 1 teaspoon of organic gunpowder tea per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot.  Bring fresh water to boil and pour over organic gunpowder tea.  Steep for 3 - 5 minutes.
