These lentils are organically grown lentils from Canada. They are the same variety as the well known 'Puy lentils' grown in France.
They do not require soaking prior to cooking and can even be sprouted. They take about 30 minutes to fully cook. These are lentils are high in protein and a good source of fibre.
These French-type lentils can be used in purees, soups, bakes and curries. They would even taste good served as a side dish with gently fried onion, lemon juice and herbs.
